Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dream
Greg Laswell
If I could write out my own dream
For the next time that I sleep
You'd be the first one that I see
And I the last one that you keep
The dream would go on and on
While we sway
Against all things thrown our way
And the morning would be so cruel
When it came
With sunshine and warmth to blame
For announcing the end of my sweet dream
For announcing the end of my sweet dream

An artist should wear...

Made in Japan hand stitched beret hats with 4 vibrant sections with exaggerated tab on top. I should wear this during job interviews in the future.

Amazing, tales-like beret found in online store dadaya from etsy

Wear blues on in Spring

Denim is officially cool temperature wise and is hot, hot, hot on the stylish rating. Denim is all over the catwalks this season(and actually I have fallen in love with denim last summer already, maybe even earlier since I saw the denim collection by Blumarine ages ago). It is such an easy trend to pick up on you really need some of the key essentials this spring. One of which is the Dorothy Perkins Mid Wash Denim Dress! The dress ticks many boxes including style, material, and versatility. Perfect for weekends, and even holidays this Mid Wash Denim Dress is bound to be a sure sell out and as an online exclusive you won’t see it in the shops! Only £28, available in sizes 6 to 22!

Petite elastic denim shirt dress from Topshop (available from size 0)
I especially like the 70s style denim collection in topshop, how many times i said topshop in my blog...

Cafes in timeless Vienna

31.03.2011
The first cafe I have been to in Vienna. Cafe Diglas is a typical Wien Kafeehaus which is one of the oldest in there. Coffee is good but honestly the pastry is not as excellent as the reviews said. I guess I read too many of those and I expected too high. Provide sweet pastry and strong coffee to wash down since 1875, the interior is still traditional and classy. Unexpectedly they have a very interesting toilet haha. People are confused by the transparent glass doors and once you lock it, the door become frosted glass, just like magic. I spent quite a long time to figure how it works, but obviously I didnt spent enough.

Cafe Central was the initial reason why I wanted to visit Austria, even though quite a lot of people think it is a tourist trap. They still offer the best coffee with apricot liquor and chocolate cakes.
I guess especially Viennese think that nicotine and caffeine are the perfect match. Let's face it they love to smoke in cafes even they like to paint walls in nicotine colour. The smoke filled bars and crystal lights seem to be the very important part of Viennese romance.

Phil is the exception, that is so modern, contemporary, young and fresh(no matter the style or the air). A perfect combination of cafe, restaurant, bookstore, CD and DVD shop and love music venue(Kubrick is the hong kong version of it I guess).
Or you may want to buy the sofa you're sitting on, maybe even the lamb standing next to you.
I actually enjoyed sitting on vintage designed furniture, and I love this bean shaped coffee table. Unfortunately I had no way to bring it home.
They serve really valuable breakfast set. Two of us ordered the philfrassfruhstruck to share, which contains enough for 2 people. The bowl of yogurt and muesli is bigger than a soup.

We had breakfast in Die Halle Cafe Resturant before going to the exhibition in MQ, just next to MUMOK. Postmodern designed, airy, big-windowed quartet of wood-trimmed, cream-color interior. Really nice place to have the broad continental brunch or enjoy a drink in one of the cozy rooms or the spartan-looking terrance.
Hallenfrühstück: Ham, poached egg, spinach and to top it off small pancakes with fresh fruit.
Vienna festival breakfast: croissant and roll, soft-boiled egg, fruit cake, serve with butter, apricot jam, strawberry jam, honey, and white chocolate jam<--really really nice!

Just realize that, it's the same architect Eichinger oder Knechtl designed Cafe Halle and Palmenhaus. The imposing sun-filled glass conservatory filled with giant palms, we enjoyed a piece of Palmenhaus cake in a glass house.
